Taboo is the 41st single released in by Koda Kumi.

The single was released on October 8, 2008, containing "Taboo", "Always", a remix of "Taboo" and instrumentals of "Taboo" and "Always". The Playroom special edition of the CD, contains an alternate front cover, and was specially released to Koda Kumi fanclub members. The fanclub edition contained a notebook with photos from "Taboo". "Taboo" became her 5th #1 single when it topped the Oricon Weekly Charts.

"Taboo" is certified Platinum for shipment of 250,000 copies .

Music video

The music video for Taboo revolves around the exploration of sexuality, similar to her other videos "Ko-So-Ko-So", "But" and "Ima Sugu Hoshii". It is set in a dark dining hall, a public restroom, and several other rooms. As Koda moves around these places, she interacts with different individuals in a sexual manner. An alternate version of the video was released and can be found on the DVD that accompanies the CD single release, it focuses on the restroom and red room scenes from the first version.
